
Forge Teams is proud to expand access and training resources to North Carolina fencers.
WEASK will help bridge the gap between technology, sports medicine, performance training and sports science to anybody.
This is a year-long sport performance program open to NC VETERAN, Y12/Y14, Cadet, Junior, Div I or colligate fencers.
This program offers access to information about fencing and fencing training limited to only a few in our sport. Click here for registration.
Cost is sliding scale. The more participation we have, the lower the cost for us overall.
Club TEAM WEASK includes: Subscription for each athlete with AthleteMonitoring. Club Athlete Monitoring Dashboard of all modules (Wellness monitoring + menstrual cycle tracker, Workload Management, WEASK Injury/Illness Surveillance follow up with high performance athletes on reported injuries and illnesses, Teambuildr app for TEAM WEASK Club Fit for Fencing Injury Prevention/Strength and Conditioning, and WEASK Edu Subscription for athletes, coaches and parents.
We are still working out WEASK Edu for a release date in the first quarter of the year (tentatively Feb 1st for athletes) and how to give access to parents but this will be done as we feel it has great benefit for our athletes.
WEASK Edu will have educational modules on “What Every Athlete Should Know”: on injury physiology/common injuries recognition and management, menstrual cycle tracking, athlete monitoring workload management, mental health/sports psychology, sports nutrition, recovery, travel, baseline testing/screening and more. Additionally, members will have early access to all of our exclusive content and early access to information scheduled to release on our social media platforms. Dr. Summers was a former 4-Time Fencing National Team Member and first alternate to 2000 Olympic Games. From 2012-21015, was USA Fencing volunteer Chief Medical Officer and from 2105-2021 was Director of Sports Medicine and Team Doctor for USA Fencing Olympic Team from 2010-2021 representing TEAM USA in 2016 Rio de Janerio, and 2021 Tokyo. Dr. Summers is the current President of the (FIE) Medical Commission for the International Fencing Organization (2022-2024).
